My other job!
Around the Academy:

Olivia pushes the ball away from her Australian opposition
Olivia has a head for heights and figures!

Olivia Murphy

I have to juggle netball with the rest of my life!

Most players also have jobs or are studying because netball is still an amateur sport.

That means there's not enough money in the game to pay netballers to play full-time.

But we do get some lottery funding to help pay for our travel, equipment and training.

I'm training to be an accountant which means I'm pretty handy at keeping the scores on court!

Just like most working people, I'm in the office eight hours a day, from Monday to Friday.

But when I have to train or go on tour with England, it's not a problem!

I'm lucky because my boss is patient and likes sport too and the firm can hire someone to fill my job when I'm away.

When I'm not doing my sums at work or on the court I like spending time with my friends and family.

My boyfriend is a footballer so I'm often seen cheering him on from the sidelines too!

I also try to squeeze in going to the cinema or eating out with my friends.

But don't forget I still have to watch what I eat!
