A person's reaction time is a measure of how quickly they can respond to a given stimulus.

The time it takes to react to a shot that hits the post could mean the difference between victory and defeat.

The amount of time it takes Michael Schumacher to react to a crash in front of him could mean the difference between life and death!

When playing sport it's important to know your reaction time and your body's limitations.



Introduction
Why do we react?
My reaction time
Try the reflex test

How quick are my reactions?
Rest your elbow on a table with your wrist extended
Get a partner to hold a ruler between your thumb and index finger
Without warning, your partner releases the ruler and you catch it
Record the distance the ruler fell
Repeat ten times then calculate your average reaction time
