Tom Fisher is close to becoming a PGA club pro
When it comes to golf professionals there's more than one way to hit the fairways.
Tour professionals are the elite, touring the world to play in money spinning tournaments.
But a PGA Club Professional gives talented golfers the chance to make their mark. The qualification as a PGA pro opens doors to all sorts of careers in golf from coaching to journalism. To get onto the programme men need to have a handicap of 4.4 and women 6.4 plus a minimum of four GCSE passes. Then just three years study stand between you and a passport to the golfing world. The Sport Academy caught up with Tom Fisher, studying to become a PGA professional at the Belfry.
