Around the Academy:

This is the best way of stretching your hips and bum!

You use your hips for any sport which involves running.

It looks like a very complicated stretch.

If you follow the instructions, however, it is very simple to achieve.

Here are my four tips:

  • Firstly, cross your left foot over your right knee
  • Then, clasp your hands behind your right thigh and gently pull the leg in towards you, keeping your upper body relaxed
  • You should feel the stretch in the muscle in your left buttock
  • Now switch legs and stretch the other hip



  • Lower body
    Ankles
    Calves
    Quads
    Hips
    Hamstrings
    Groin

    Upper body
