Ankles
Around the Academy:

We will now get the ankle joints warmed up.

Watch my stretch tips in video

You use your ankles for almost every form of exercise and therefore it is important to warm them up properly.

Stretch them exactly as I am doing in the picture above, placing your hands flat against the wall.

My tips for this stretch are:

  • Bend one leg forward and keep the back leg straight

  • Keep your rear foot parallel to your hips



  • Introduction
    Ankles
    Calves
    Quads
    Hips
    Hamstrings
    Groin

    Upper body

    Shift your weight onto the ball of your rear foot and press downwards
