Around the Academy:

Here is one of the best ways of stretching your calves.

If you're a keen cyclist or enjoy climbing hills, it's crucial you stretch these muscles as I'm demonstrating in the picture above.

Here are my three tips:

  • Stand about 30 centimetres away from wall

  • Put your hands on the wall and lean forward into the stretch

  • Keeping the right leg straight and press the right heel down and feel a mild tension in the right calf.



  • Lower body
    Ankles
    Calves
    Quads
    Hips
    Hamstrings
    Groin

    Upper body
