How would you match up to Kelly Holmes?
Have you got what it takes to be an Olympic champion?
Do you have the reaction times of a top sprinter or the lung capacity of an Olympic rower? And what's it like to train at altitude? You can find out the answers to all of these questions when the English Institute of Sport opens its doors across the country. Funded by the Sport England Lottery fund the EIS will give you a chance to learn about the science and technology used to support stars like Kelly Holmes and Matthew Pinsent. On Saturday November 6 (10am-4pm) there will be a chance for anyone to 'Train Like A Champion' and experience what it takes to make it to the Olympics at the National Sports Centre at Bisham Abbey. In Milton Keynes (Nov 4) there will be the chance to train alongside high performance champions as the National Badminton Centre while on the same day in Sheffield they will be testing to find the stars of the future. And you can see if you can shape up as a rower on the River Wear in Newcastle. There are further events to be organised in other parts of the country so keep an eye on the EIS website.
