A range of Chinese dishes are on a table
Like most people, Becky enjoys a Chinese takeaway

Becky Jago

I don't really watch what I eat, I've never been on a diet, so I'm quite lucky.

But I try to eat healthily.

I always say to people who are on diets "just exercise!" because nine times out of 10 they are not exercising and that's where the problem is.

I make sure I eat my fruit and vegetables and don't eat chips every day in the canteen.

A plate of chips
Chips are a favourite - but not every day

I just try to be sensible about my diet.

If I've done a lot of exercise or feel like I've eaten the right foods, I'll treat myself to ice cream, which I love.

I also love eating Chinese food, but my favourite dish is paella.

I'm not the best cook though, I get bored very easily.

If I'm not hungry, I don't want to think about food, but if I am hungry, I need to eat then and there.

So it needs to be something someone has cooked for me, or something I can pull out of the freezer and stick in a microwave.

I make a pretty good spaghetti bolognaise though!

What is paella?
Paella is Spain's favourite dish.
The main ingredients are rice, sausage, clams, mussels and saffron, the most expensive spice in the world.
The dish made especially for a Spanish queen hundreds of years ago. "Para ella" means "for her" in Spanish and that's why it is still called "paella".
