Make an Academy super sandwich
Around the Academy:

Many people wonder what they should be eating the night before a race.

Do not fear - BBC Sport Academy introduces you to the super sandwich.

It is the night before a race.

You know your evening meal is the most important dish you are going to eat ahead of the big day.

It can be the difference between you winning and losing.

Welcome to the super sandwich - a snack packed with energy which could put you on the winner's rostrum.

Our resident nutritionist Matt Lovell admits your meal should be full of high carbohydrate foods such as bread, noodles, pasta, rice and cereals.

The super sandwich, which is also fun to make, is one of the best things you can eat.
