Jamie qualifies for European Tour
Around the Academy:

Jamie Elson
Jamie Elson has scooped a European Tour card
It is one almighty leap from amateur golf to playing at the top level.

But Jamie Elson has managed to bound onto the biggest stage in his first season.

The Sport Academy has been following Jamie's progress since he turned professional earlier this year and last weekend he qualified for the PGA European Tour.

He can now look forward to playing with Ernie Els and Padraig Harrington after a third place in the Challenge Tour Grand Final.

It means that overall Jamie finished 10th on the Challenge Tour and with the top 15 all qualifying he can look forward to an exciting season against the big boys.

Still only 22, it's a massive achievement for Jamie who won his first pro tournament in July in the Finnish Open.

Here, in his latest diary, he describes how clinched his Tour card and what it means to join golf's elite.
