Zane Scotland
Zane qualified for the Open four years ago
Every year thousands of hopefuls aim to make it through to the Open to join Tiger and Ernie on the biggest stage.

Players from all over the world battle through two stages or three rounds of golf to even make it to the first tee.

But it's a chance in a lifetime, one which some players have taken without flinching.

Zane Scotland set a record when he became the youngest player ever to qualify for the Open in 1999 at Carnoustie in Scotland.

He was just 16!

The same year Paul Lawrie also qualified and went on to win it.

Here Zane talks about how he made it through to the big one and what it was like rubbing shoulders with the star names on the course.
