Radio 1's king of the fairways
Around the Academy:

DJ Spoony competed in the Pro Celebrity Golf Challenge at The Belfry
All the gear: Spoony sports a casual pink number

You know him as DJ Spoony, one third of Radio 1's Dreem Team and superstar garage DJ.

But did you know that he's into more than one type of club?

As well as tearing the roof off nightclubs up and down the country, he's just as happy whacking balls on a golf course.

Golf and garage isn't a blend you would normally expect but DJ Spoony confesses he is on a one-man crusade to bring golf to the masses.

The Academy caught up with him at a recent pro-celebrity golf tournament to ask him what's so special about the game and why he's not the only DJ to mix it on the fairway.

Spoony reveals how he was amazed the first time he tried golf and how he wouldn't mind a go behind the mic as a commentator!
