Ever heard of the putting yips?

You'll be standing on the green, lining up a simple putt and your head's saying "I can't do this!"

It's a lack of confidence. And even some of the world's top players have suffered from this.

It's no good driving 250 yards to the green and then taking four more shots to move the ball 10 feet into the hole.

Some players resort to buying extra long putting handles, some will use special weights in their putters.

A few ideas on how to improve your putting
Get in the hole!

It sounds a bit drastic but it can be a massive problem.

So you may have the yips, you might just want a simple way of improving your putting stroke.

Check out this little pack of putting aids that will help you train on the basics.

There are loads of different ones about. Some have magnetic pointers showing what direction the putter face is facing.

A putting rail will help your stroke path. And there's a gadget with spinners on that'll give you information on the direction and speed of your ball.

So kick those putting fears into the rough and be the king of the greens.
