Paul Lawrie lines the ball up before his swing
Line the ball up properly before you swing the club

Paul Lawrie

I have a routine where I pick my target.

It has to be a very small target from the tee because it helps you focus your mind that bit better.

I go behind the ball and take a practice swing and take one step to the right.

I look at my target and then line the ball up.

All that's in my head at the moment is the target which I'm aiming at.

My swing is all about rhythm. My mind is taken up by the target.

But I don't want my swing to be too fast, especially with the driver.

You need to be slow with the driver at first, then as you get more confidence, you can build up your speed.
