England's Ian Poulter in action
Check behind you before swinging your club
Part One

Safety

The safety of not only you but fellow players is vital. A wayward golf ball can hurt - and could even kill someone.

Just make sure no-one's going to get hit when you swing your club.

If you think the ball that you've just hit is in danger of hitting another player, yell 'fore' at the top of your voice!

Silence

Concentration and focus is crucial to a good.

Talking or jangling change in your pocket could lead to your playing partner slicing their ball into the trees!

Be quiet when someone is playing and they will do the same for you.

Consideration

Be ready to play. Don't saunter around thinking you have all the time in the world.

You don't have to rush your shot, just use some common sense.

Leave your clubs near to where you are putting or teeing off and leave the green as soon as you finish putting.
