Seve: My passion for golf
Around the Academy:

Seve Ballesteros
Seve was the first European to win the US Masters

Severiano Ballesteros is one of the greatest golfers of all time.

Nowadays he is competing against players who had never even held a golf club when he turned professional in 1974.

He's won a string of Majors down the years, but 45-year-old Seve is now winding down his career.

But he still harbours hopes of claiming another of golfs top prizes before the clubs go into the locker permanently.

Learnt to play: On the beach aged seven with his only club, a 3-iron
First win: In 1969 aged 12 Seve shot a 79 to win his first tournament
