Scoring goals is beautiful. The feeling of hitting the back of the net is just amazing.
But being a striker means you may take a bit of a battering from opposition defenders. Particularly if you're any good. There are all sorts of different characteristics that a good striker will have.
Michael Owen and Thierry Henry have fantastic pace, while Emile Heskey's game is based upon his strength and power. Teddy Sheringham lacks pace but his speed of thought and ability to move away from markers creates chances for himself and team-mates. But most of the top strikers in the world are selfish in front of the goal. So if you get a chance to get a shot in on goal, take it!
