Is this offside?
Around the Academy:

Think you know your offsides?

This should be a good little tester for you!

Man United are still playing and their midfield are looking lively going forward.

Ryan Giggs wins the ball and bursts down the left wing looking for support.

The Welshman gets ahead of the defenders, looks up and sees Roy Keane running on to goal.

Keane gets the ball and BOSH! It's a great goal, but hold on!

Both of the United players were ahead of the defensive line, so why did the flag stay down when Giggs made the pass?

Despite Keane being closer to the goal line than his second last opponent, he's not offside because Giggs played the ball backwards to him.

Therefore he's not nearer to the goal line than the ball and the goal stands.
