Scoring goals - tough job but someone's got to do it
All defenders will tell you that stopping goals is the most important thing in football. You get talking to a striker and they'll be quick to remind you they're the ones with the most important job! A team obviously needs both. But the simple truth is that you can't win a game without bursting the back of the net with the ball.
Some basics first though. All players must be in their own half at the kick-off and the first touch of the ball must go forward. The game is restarted after a goal in exactly the same way from the centre-spot, and also at the start of the second half. Did you know it is possible to score directly from the kick-off? So why not start the game with a bang and see if the keeper's on their toes with a cheeky shot at goal.
