The magic of matchday
Around the Academy:

Sven gives his team talk
The players switch their ears on to the gaffer's orders
It can obviously get really tense before a game, but Sven's character rubs off on to the players.

It's amazing just how relaxed the mood of the camp is.

It actually gets more relaxed the closer it gets to a game!

The players won't be woken up and they will have breakfast only if they want it.

Then it'll be a little walk around and the pre-match meal.

The players will have plenty of regular sleeps during the day and also a few massages.

David Beckham and Sven-Goran Eriksson
Becks and Sven: can they lift the trophy?

And it's countdown to kick-off!

There won't be the highly charged cries of "C'mon England" you might expect.

There'll be a big team meeting.

And then obviously the manager will speak to the players again in the dressing room.

But Sven doesn't really go in for long team talks.

He sees all the training and preparation as the team talk.

A right Royal visit
When the Queen asked Dan what his team role was he found it strange explaining he wasn't one of the players!

I spoke to the Queen about the internet and she told me she hoped e-mail didn't replace letter writing in the palace!
