You wouldn't see a Spaniard eating this
The food is very different compared to back home in the UK, but it's excellent, especially if you've got adventurous tastes. The seafood is amazing, it's so fresh. It became a huge favourite for me, along with Spanish ham. We really don't know how to cook properly back home. There are so many Spanish dishes which are absolutely beautiful, they use so many oils and spices which are not only healthy, but incredibly tasty too.
The Spanish would never have fried bacon and eggs for breakfast, they see that as a purely British taste. The other big difference is the weather - it's always sunny in Spain! Back home you're running around all wrapped up in training, trying to keep warm. But in Spain, you're training in your t-shirt and shorts in the sun. The warm weather is better for the body, especially your muscles. You don't feel as tense when you're stretching in training. And because there's more sunshine, David will be able to practise taking his free-kicks for longer after training.
