The Spanish way of life

The Beckhams will love the streets of Madrid

Steve Archibald

Spanish life is a lot more laid back than in the UK.

They love to relax and wind down, whereas everyone in the UK always seems to be stressed out running around all the time.

It's a great way to live life. They work very hard, but they know how to make the most of their time off.

But it's a completely new lifestyle you have to adopt in Spain.

You've got to get used to things like eating at different times, sleeping at different times, ordinary things you normally take for granted.

But the good thing for the Beckhams is that Spanish life is very family orientated.

It will be fantastic for their two children - by the time they'll return to England, they'll hopefully be fluent in two languages.

I think the Beckhams are in for a fantastic experience in Madrid.
