Gary Neville towers over Charlton's Jason Euell for a header
Heads up! Gary shows you how it should it be done

Man Utd star Gary Neville

Now I'm going to show you how to use your head to make the most of crosses, corners or free-kicks.

Watch my heading masterclass

The art of heading for goal is to use your whole body to get as much power into your header as you can.

Don't just let the ball bounce off your head.

Use your whole body by bending your knees, arching your back and tensing your neck muscles, and then thrust forward on contact.

You also need to make sure you get over the ball so that you can head it downwards.

If you get underneath it, you'll find row Z not the top corner.
