A few crazy Faroe facts
Around the Academy:

Puffins are rife on the Faroe Islands
If only GKs could catch balls like puffins catch fish
The few crazy Faroe facts we could find

1. The Scots should see plenty of birds when they reach the Faroes - birds of the feathered variety that is.

It's a home to many species, including puffins and oystercatchers.

2. Henrik Larsen is the Faroes coach - not the one that plays for Celtic.

The former Danish international midfielder had a spell with Aston Villa, and was part of the Danish team that won Euro 92.

3. The total population of the Faroes is around 45,500 - less than the weekly attendances at Ibrox or Celtic Park and just imagine trying to sort out a footy team off those terraces.

4. The Faroes aren't quite the pushovers they once were.

Not only did they take a point off Scotland in the Euro 2000 qualifiers, they have also beaten the likes of Liechtenstein and Luxembourg, and held Slovenia.
