Gary shows the way to the youth of today
Gary shows the way to the youth of today
Toughening up (Age 7)

Gary's interest in football first blossomed at Primary School, kicking a ball around in the playground and making the most of any opportunity to practice.

Soon those skills were starting to develop and Gary was competing against children a few years older than himself.

"I played for an under-11s junior team at the age of seven and I think it is a good thing to play with lads that are older than you.

"It strengthens you up and though it doesn't give you the easiest welcome into the game it schools you well in terms of the physical side."
