Crash, bang, wallop! Take that
There's probably no-one in English cricket who hits the ball harder - or further - than Freddie. There's probably no-one bigger too - it's fair to say Freddie's brute strength is his...strength. His huge frame - especially his enormous shoulders - are perfect for smacking fast bowlers straight back over their heads into Row Z of the pavilion. He's no slogger either, you'll often clearly see the maker's name on his bat after hitting one of his huge lofted straight drive sixes.
And he's quickly turning into England's most reliable one-day bowler, especially at the death when the pressure's on. Bowling yorkers on demand is something only a few bowlers can do and Freddie is part of that very exclusive group. You need plenty of confidence and faith in your own ability - something Freddie has bundles of. Something else he has is pace - and lots of that too. He's been clocked in the early 90s on more than a number of occasions. Confidence + pace + accuracy = one very, very talented bowler. The world beware, Freddie's on the loose...
