Clare Connor has always led England from the front, on and off the field to help provide the platform for a brighter future.

Clare has always been a cricket fan

But for Clare and many of her team-mates the task is even tougher as they don't have the fortune of central contracts.

Instead, many of the England women's team have full or part-time jobs - Connor herself is a school teacher.

But as she tells the Academy, opportunities for the rapidly growing number of girls playing cricket are increasing and the future looks encouraging for the women's game.
