Hi, I'm John Amaechi and I used to play in the NBA for the Utah Jazz. America's top league is the absolute pinnacle of the sport and I was the first Briton to play there. And with the NBA season well underway it's a great time to sort out your hoops skills. Watch my masterclass The Academy teamed up with Xchange and they filmed me in action with some of Manchester's hottest young talent. I'll be going through three vital skills to help you improve your game. Dribbling, free throws and rebounds. I'll also show you a few drills you can even practise at home in your living room.
