James has basketball fans jumping through hoops
LeBron James is already bigger than Michael Jordan.
The 18-year-old from Ohio stands two inches taller than his idol at 6 feet 8 inches. And his reputation surpasses the great man - at least in terms of his recognition as the 'best high school basketball player of all time'.
And his NBA debut proved that James can live up to the hype - he scored 25 points and nine assists for the Cleveland Cavaliers to confirm his status a potential great. It may be a little early to predict whether he will go on to emulate Jordan's NBA career. But the whole of America is hanging on James' every alley-oop dunk, and no-look bounce pass as he continues to tear up the court.
