Wadda ya mean watch out for the British kids?
Sport Academy has been courtside to find out which young stars are set to go hooptastic this year!
Philip Wait Here's one northern lad who's set to make a massive impression on court this year. And why is Wait destined for the heady heights of basketball stardom? Because the 15-year-old stands at 6 ft 11in tall - wow! It's not a surprise to see Wait is already a regular face for England's under-15 team. And he's getting plenty of international experience too. On a competitive tour in Europe last season he emerged as a bit of a hot-shot for England after getting plenty of points on the board. Johanna Leedham She's here, she's there, Leedham has got a talent for getting everywhere on court! And she's also pretty nifty at getting the ball into the basket too. The 15-year-old's shooting skills have earned her a place in the England Cadettes team. They face a challenge series against Europe's best in 2003 so Leedham's scoring power will be called upon. Her club performances in the 2002 national junior championships also earned her an award. So don't forget to watch this pair of hot-shots as they prepare to dazzle their opponents on court in 2003!
