Stefan twists and turns over the bar to glory
Olympic champion Stefan Holm shares his tips for high jump success.
Watch Stefan's tips "You have to train for a long time to reach these heights," says Stefan. "It won't happen in one or two afternoons."
And while the watching fans concentrate on the jump itself, Stefan says the hard work is done on the way to the bar. "The important thing is to have acceleration in the approach," he continues. "Run fastest as you're getting near the point of take-off. "There's not much to work on when you're jumping over the bar - hopefully that will come naturally." Performing at big events can be a nerve-jangling experience, but Stefan thrives on the atmosphere generated by the crowd. "It's wonderful, it can't be bettered. Standing out there with one jump left and everyone clapping for you is fantastic."
