The animal world are hot on the heels of Tim
How would world record-holder Tim Montgomery or Maurice Greene get on in a race with a few contenders from the animal kingdom? If a cheetah, an elephant or a pig had a race against each other, who do you think would win? And just for good measure, let's put in a human being running alongside a reindeer, grizzly bear and a snail.
And not just any old human being. We'll have Tim Montgomery, the fastest person on this planet. The American claimed that title after an astonishing run of 9.78 seconds at the European Grand Prix final in Paris in September 2002. With a following wind of two metres per second - exactly on the legal limit - he shaved just 100th of a second off the time of 9.79 set by rival Maurice Greene in Athens in June 1999.
How do you think the pair of them would rank in the animal kingdom? Click on the above to see the 10 candidates pushing to be number one.
