Striker - Michael Owen
Striker
This is the position that everyone wants to play in because it gives you the best chance of becoming the hero.

Unfortunately it is also a position that can see you take a bit of a battering from opposition defenders.

There are all sorts of characteristics that can lead to a striker proving effective.

Someone like Michael Owen relies heavily on his pace, while Emile Heskey’s game is based upon his strength and power.

A player like Teddy Sheringham may lack pace and power but his speed of thought and ability to move away from his marker not only creates opportunities for himself but also his team-mates.

Most of the top strikers in the world are selfish in front of the goal, so if you get a chance to get a shot in on goal, take it.
