You need agility and bravery to be a keeper. You’re the only member of the team who can handle the ball on the pitch, but only in your 18-yard-area. It can be a lonely position that will test out your concentration if you are required to make a crucial save after being out of the game for a while. Now that goalkeepers can't pick up backpasses there is more emphasis on the control and kicking skills of a goalkeeper. So it's no hiding place.
