Formations
Around the Academy:
5-3-2
5-3-2
This formation which features three central defenders (possibly with one acting as a sweeper) has grown in popularity in recent times.

It combines defence and attack but relies very heavily on the two wide players who operate as wing-backs.

It is their job to work the full length of the pitch, supporting both the defence and the attack.
