Pete's all set to get fired up

Pete
I was convinced I was going home.
As soon as I finished that Pedal Power I thought, I've come last in two events, I'm at the bottom of the drop zone, two people have got to go so I'm going home.
But I didn't and I don't know why.
When he read out Mark's name I didn't know what to think, I was shocked.
I'm not sure if Pat's broken wrist had any bearing on who went.
Obviously there were four in the drop zone, but after Pat's withdrawal only one of me, Sheldon and Mark were going.
But I think it could have been any one of us.
Maybe they would have eliminated Pat or maybe I would have gone if he stayed. We'll never know.
I'm going to use this experience to fire me on.
Like Colin said in the elimination, it's about taking negatives and using them as positives.
If you did something badly, work out why you did it badly and try and improve it.
You can't let it get to you. You've got to move on, try harder and do better.
I am so determined to make the final.
It's given me that extra motivation, to push that little bit harder, to swim that little bit faster, to keep cycling up that hill.
It's put me in a different frame of mind.
I'm so close now that I'd be gutted not to make the final now.
There's no endurance athletes left which is kind of weird. This show is all about endurance. I reckon it's all going to be in your mind.
The person with the strongest mind is the person who is going to win.
