Broken but smiling. Pat keeps the humour despite his bust wrist

I knew I had to finish ahead of Sheldon in Pedal Power to avoid the drop zone.
And if I think about it now I'd have probably been better slowing down and coming third because I might not have been eliminated anyway.
Me and Sheldon were right beside each other bombing it down the hill and I lost control.
We didn't touch bikes but we were really close and as we came to a bend I needed to slow down.
I hit the brakes but because I was going so fast the bike started to shake and I went flying.
I got launched about 10 metres so I ran back to get my bike but the brake was jammed so I left it and ran the rest of the way.
At the time I thought I just hurt my wrist but as the adrenaline began to wear off it was agony.
After being patched up for cuts and grazes I went to the hospital and had an x-ray.
They told me that I'd fractured the main bone in my wrist so it's going to be six weeks in a cast.
Obviously I'm really disappointed because if I got through this show I was pretty certain I'd be all right because two of my events were coming up.
But everything happens for a reason. Hopefully one day I'll find out why.
I think Sally and Colin would have taken the fact that I finished into account - I reckon I would have been saved to be honest.
But there was no point in carrying on. Okay, I could compete in maybe one of the last events but I'd struggle in the swimming.
At least this way I can say I've not been eliminated and you're seen as a sort of hero! Ha-ha.
I've enjoyed every minute of Born To Win, except falling off the bike.
After crashing my bike, busting one of the lights in Light Chase and breaking a water pontoon in Swim Shot I wouldn't be offended if I was called the most accident prone contestant here.
It's always good to have some sort of reputation!
