It's time to say bye for Cat and Fola
|
Fola and Cat were edged out of the grand final when they became the last contestants to be eliminated.
It was perhaps the cruellest blow yet as the pair will be forced to watch as the final eight compete for the Born To Win title.
Cat's exit leaves Sam, Liz, Louise and Kelly to contest the girls final, while Tom, Pete, Sheldon and Garth will do battle for the boys title live in London next Saturday.
It was the first time that both the bottom placed boy and girl were eliminated but in reality all 10 contestants were on an equal level.
All had swam, ran and cycled the same distances. All had pushed, pulled and thrown the same weight.
The differences were minute.
But Cat was inconsolable. She described the last show as going from "bad to worse," so for her, Sally's words bore little comfort.
Sally said: "Cat you've come a long way and that's down to guts and determination, but in sport you've got to be able to control your emotions."
Fola seemed more composed as Colin delivered his verdict.
Colin said: "Fola, you have a god-given talent but discipline and hard work are as important as your talent."
The penultimate chapter of Born To Win had once again been a huge relief for the majority and a huge wrench for the few.
