BOBBY MOORE
The hallmark of any great player is their ability to find time and space when in possession and Bobby Moore instinctively knew how to do that.
I first saw him play in 1968 and even as a 13-year-old Scotland fan, I had to admire the way he handled himself on the park.
Everybody knows about what he achieved in 1966, when he captained England to World Cup glory at Wembley. But I think he may have peaked performance-wise in the Mexico World Cup four years later.
The way he timed his tackles was unbelievable, particularly in the match against Brazil and yet he still managed to make everything look effortless.
