Marcelo Romero

Club: Malaga
Position: Midfielder

Romero has made a strong impression on the Uruguayan selectors despite playing for an unfashionable Spanish side.

His performances against the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona impressed sufficiently to make the trip to Japan and Korea.

He is quick, has great ball control and is a great ball distributor.

Perhaps his weakness is his shot. He has yet to score at international level.
