Ilhan Mansiz

Club: Besiktas
Position: Forward

Ilhan is something of the David Beckham of the Turkish side, mobbed by screaming fans wherever he goes.

And, like Beckham, he has lived up to his reputation off the field on it.

A year ago he was nowhere to be seen in terms of international contention but, since making his debut in a World Cup qualifier against Moldova last October, he has had a massive rise to prominence.

This season he topped the Turkish league goalscorer record with 20 and has also scored for the national side.
