Hakan Unsal

Club: Galatasaray
Position: Midfielder

Since his debut against Belgium in 1996 Unsal had initially found it difficult to hold down a starting place in the Turkey national team.

But a regular run during the World Cup qualifiers has seen him establish a regular place at last.

Operating on the left-hand side, he is an important squad player since he can play in defence or step forward and play a holding defensive role in midfield.

He is another member of the Galatasaray team who have enjoyed so much success over the past few seasons.
