Mattias Jonson

Club: Brondy
Position: Midfielder

The industrious midfielder has impressed for Brondy's Superliga bid in the 2001/2002.

And, as a result, he has staked a late claim to squeeze into the Swedish World Cup squad.

His cause was helped with a string of impressive performances in front of the national team scouts, most notably in a recent 5-0 win against AB from Copenhagen.

An attacking presence in midfield, his goals will make him an invaluable asset at least from the bench.

He has already passed the 20-cap mark for his country.
