Aliou Cisse

Club: Montpellier
Position: Defender

Aliou Cisse's performances for his country in World Cup qualifying and this year's African Nations Cup have already made him a target across Europe.

The Montpellier star has had a trial with West Ham but failed to clinch a move to Upton Park.

Cisse initially joined Montpellier on loan from Paris Saint-Germain but has now made the move permanent.

He has cemented his place in coach Bruno Metsu's squad thanks to his pace, positional awareness and fine distribution of the ball.

He knows when to play it out from the back and when to thump it into the stands and is also good in the air.
