Mohammed Al-Deayea

Club: Al-Hilal
Position: Goalkeeper

Mohamed Al-Deayea's penalty shoot-out heroics won the 1996 Asian Cup for Saudi Arabia.

His performances effectively won the title for the 'Sons of the Desert' and he demonstrated his huge importance to the side.

Another of the Al-Hilal contingent in the team, Al-Deayea's strong point is his shot-stopping, but he has also improved on his crosses and has built up an understanding with his defenders.

He has twice been named in the Asian Team of the Year and was also shortlisted for the 1996 Asian Player of the Year award.
