Richard Dunne

Club: Manchester City
Position: Defender

Dunne has warned Irish fans not to get carried away with their expectations ahead of the World Cup.

The City defender believes that the side's solid qualifying campaign could prove misleading when it comes to the Far East.

Despite that, the 22-year-old has been another surprise hit in Mick McCarthy's squad.

He scored twice in qualifying and dominated the Republic's back four during that time.

But his place is by no means assured in the starting line-up.
