Juan Carlos Franco

Club: Olimpia
Position: Defender

Experienced stopper who has been a squad member since before the 1998 Finals without ever holding down a regular starting place.

Did not feature in the qualifying campaign but impressive club form won him his place.

Franco is a dead-ball specialist who possesses a lethal shot.

Has scored several scorchers for Olimpia in the domestic league and Copa Libertadores but is unlikely to get his chance this summer.
