Guido Alvarenga

Club: Leon
Position: Midfielder

Guido Alvarenga has not always been the preferred choice of Cesare Maldini on the left of Paraguay's midfield.

And a move from Paraguayan champions Cerro Porteno to Mexican club Leon at the start of the year may not have necessarily helped his cause.

Despite that, Alvarenga is the sort of attacking-minded player to help Paraguay's cause.

The 31-year-old has a strong left foot - he found the target once in qualifying.
