Carlos Paredes

Club: FC Porto
Position: Midfielder

Carlos Paredes is arguably his country's most important player.

He holds the midfield together and protects the back four with his strength in the tackle and positional awareness.

Has formed an influential partnership with fellow midfielder Roberto Acuna who is able to break forward in the knowledge that his team-mate will keep things safe behind him.

The FC Porto man will never flinch from a tackle and, as a result, is no stranger to the referee's notebook.
