Francisco Arce

Club: Palmeiras
Position: Defender

Francisco Arce plays his club football for Brazilian side Palmeiras and has picked up some of the national traits of the game in his adopted country.

Paraguay's first-choice right-back is far more interested in getting forward than mastering the art of defending.

Although he has a tendency to leave his side exposed, his excellent delivery of the ball from crosses and set-pieces are a vital source of goals for his country.

Injuries and age have started to take their toll, but last year he was shortlisted for the South American Player of The Year award.
